History at a Glance：
3M was founded in 1902 in the Lake Superior town of Two Harbors, Minnesota. Five businessmen set out to mine a mineral deposit for grinding-wheel abrasives. But the deposits proved to be of little value, and the new Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company quickly moved to nearby Duluth in 1905 to focus on sandpaper products.
Fast forward to Now：
Today, 3M operates companies in more than 70 countries and manufactures and sells products in over 200 countries. More than 60 percent of sales come from the international markets.  Employees reaching up to 80,000 with deep-rooted commitment to satisfy customers. We operate research laboratories in 34 countries and have over 139 plant locations.
