The late Don Jose Tancongkong founded Avenue Electrical Supply, Co. (AVESCO) in 1948 with humble beginnings of only a handful employees. His son Mr. JIMMY T. TANG spurred the birth of AVESCO Marketing Corporation when he assumed presidency in 1964. His dedication and foresight paid off when he started to engage aggressively in importation, wholesaling, indenting, tendering and retailing of electrical, industrial, electronics & telecommunications products.

His inherent business acumen propelled the company’s growth to AVESCO Group of Companies as it rose to become the oldest and top quality provider of the widest selection of best-engineered products, from simplest components to the most complex systems.

In the 80’s, Avesco entered into designing, engineering and installation of first-rate building systems such as Audio-Video Intercom, Fire Alarm & Detection, Lighting Control, Public Address & Background Music, Multi Room Entertainment, Lightning Protection, Fingerprint Security, Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors, Security and Powered Amplifiers among others. Under Mr. Jimmy T. Tang's helm, Avesco provided its clientele with a reliable “after sales service”, gaining stature as a respected partner in the electrical, industrial, electronics and telecommunications industry in the Philippines.

Today, the Avesco Group of Companies has established numerous affiliate companies, including manufacturing, and has an extensive network of dealers nationwide. AVESCO has gained stature locally and globally after having the advantage of being in the business industry for 75 years now.
